Welcome to the Tui Room for children aged 2-5 years
Our doors open at 7.30 am.
We believe it is important to ensure a fantastic start to your child’s day. We provide a warm welcome as you arrive, supporting the transition from home to school is a priority so there are plenty of fun activities to occupy your child as you say goodbye for the day.
At around 9.30 we tidy up and are ready to say good morning to each other as a family. We all join on our mat for our morning family welcome before children wash their hands ready for Morning Tea.
We believe all mealtimes are important opportunities for Teachers and children to come together as a family to talk and share news.
After Morning tea tummies are full, batteries recharged, and children are off exploring independently or choosing planned activities organised by their Teachers.
We are so busy 11.30am arrives quickly and it is time to tidy and come together again as a family we for our Mat Time prior to lunch at 12.00pm. Our Mat Times are fun, active and includes a variety of opportunities for children to particate and build on their skills.
12pm arrives and it is time for our children to recharge their batteries once more.
Lunch is followed by rest time for most children, children come back to the mat allowing their bodies opportunity to rest and their meal settle down. Children who require an afternoon nap make their way to our sleep room area with a Teacher who stays with them while they go off to sleep.
After our rest time its time to get busy again, children chose independent activities or can access activities planned for by their Teachers.
Between 2pm and 2.30pm we come together for our last family time before afternoon tea.
We then slowly begin our wind down from our very busy day as children begin preparing for the transition from school to home.
The Tui room is full of fun we consider you all as our extended family.
