Frequently Asked Questions
What ages do you cater for?
We welcome children from 3 months – 6 years. Our learning environments are tailored to each stage of development — from nurturing care for infants and toddlers to a rich, play-based programme that helps preschoolers transition confidently to school.
Are meals provided?
Yes — we provide nutritious meals and snacks throughout the day. We happily cater for allergies and special dietary requirements; please let us know your child’s needs so we can keep them safe and well-fed.
How much are the fees?
Our fees reflect the quality teaching, care, meals, and resources your child receives daily.
- Sibling discount: 10% off the oldest child’s fees.
- Holiday option: One two-week period per year at 50% of usual fees (with two weeks’ notice).
- Review cycle: Fees are reviewed annually in March, with plenty of advance notice for any updates.
Please contact us for the current fee schedule.
Do I still need to pay fees during holidays?
Public holidays: Full fees apply.
Family holidays: Provide two weeks’ notice to access the 50% holiday rate for one two-week period each year.
Sick days: Fees still apply as your child’s place is held.
What if my child is sick?
If your child is unwell, we ask that they stay home to rest and recover. This protects the wellbeing of all tamariki and our team. Fees still apply for sick days, as your child’s spot is reserved.
Tip: You’re always welcome to call us to check our current health and exclusion guidelines.
How do I enrol my child?
We’d love to welcome you and your whānau. The best first step is to book a visit to meet our team and explore our spaces. We’ll support you with enrolment and a gentle settling-in plan.
What are your opening hours?
We’re open Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 5:30pm.
Short day: Up to 7 hours, finishing at 3:30pm.
Long day: Full care until 5:30pm.
This flexibility supports busy whānau routines.
What are your teacher-to-child ratios?
We are proud to maintain ratios above Ministry of Education standards, ensuring tamariki receive individual attention, care, and learning support from our passionate, qualified kaiako.
What happens if I’m running late for pick-up?
We allow a 5-minute grace period after your booked pick-up time. After this, a late fee of $2 per minute applies so we can fairly compensate our teachers.
Do you run special programmes?
Yes! We offer seasonal events, trips, and offsite experiences that extend children’s learning and sense of wonder. These are optional and may include a small extra cost.
What curriculum do you follow?
Our programme is guided by Te Whāriki — New Zealand’s Early Childhood Curriculum. Through play, relationships, and exploration, children grow as confident, curious, and capable learners.
